“APPROVED” MINUTES for February 28, 2006 Special Meeting
BOARD: Jeffrey Larkin, Dale Smeltzer, Michael

(Scott & Partners), Eve Norris (Pizzagalli Construction), Scott Carter (DEW
Construction)
- Dale Smeltzer called the special meeting to order at
3:30 p.m..
- Dale Smeltzer opened the bids due at this time for
construction management services on the TBPS Renovations project. Bids were received from Pizzagalli
Construction Company and DEW Construction Corporation. The bids were as follows:

- Jeffrey Larkin moved to go into executive session at
3:45 p.m. to discuss contract details included in the bids, Michael Roche
seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. It was agreed to leave executive session
at 3:52 p.m. with no action taken.
- A discussion ensued regarding the exact wording of
the bidding rules and need for clarification regarding how the 1% rule is
implemented. Don Schneider will
clarify this with Paul Giuliani and let board members know before our
meeting on March 2 to award the bid.
Board members would then have the opportunity to gather more
information if they chose. Don
Schneider will try to visit DEW Construction’s recent school renovation
project in Cambridge,
VT.
- Michael Roche moved to adjourn the meeting at 4:05
p.m., Sherry Ziemke seconded and the motions passed unanimously.
