“APPROVED” Minutes for January 26, 2006

 

 

BOARD:                           Susan Flynn, Jeffrey Larkin, Dale Smeltzer, and Sherry Ziemke

ADMINISTRATION:       Ken Page

 

1. Dale Smeltzer called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.

 

2. The School Board reviewed and approved the Warning for the Annual Meeting of the Waterbury-Duxbury School Board #45 to be held on March 5, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Thatcher Brook Primary School. Motion by Susan Flynn, seconded by Jeff Larkin. Approved unanimously.

 

3. The School Board also reviewed a draft of a letter to be sent to our legislators (House and Senate) and Governor James Douglas regarding the delay of receipt of school construction aid. This letter was approved as written, noting that the wording should be modified in the version to the governor.  Motion by Susan Flynn, seconded by Jeff Larkin, and approved unanimously. 

 

4. A working draft of a letter regarding transparency of the education fund and tax rate impacts, originally drafted by Michael, was distributed for further editing and review at the next meeting.

 

5. The board motioned to adjourn at 7:53. Motioned by Susan Flynn. Seconded by Jeffrey Larkin. Approved unanimously.
